I was reminded today how much I loved this when I first saw it on Jules Holland’s Yew Year’s Eve Show a couple of years ago. Dizzee’s own rap, “Stand Up Tall”, combined with Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”

Will always cherish Dizzie’s part in the 2012 Opening Ceremony – and “Bonkers” seemed an approproate anthem for that night. Born in E3, too, so he felt right at home.
Hey Karma, you kept your name for once. Meant I didn’t have to approve the comment! Totally agree on the Olympics ceremony – one of THE highlights in an evening of highlights. Was so good to see people like Dizzee there and not just the usual roll call of great and good….. mmm, I think we may have had this same exchange last year! Then again, we are all into recycling these days.

Talking of Dizzee, another great moment was his appearence on Newsnight a couple of years ago – can’t remember what they were discussing – and Paxman calling him “Mr. Rascal” throughout the interview, in his best Charterhouse accent. Sometimes Paxo does amuse,
