Looking up the Thames towards Hammersmith Bridge, from Fulham. Low-ish tide. A beautiful sunny day, today.

About John S

I'm blogging about the things I love: music, sport, culture, London, with some photos to illustrate aspects of our wonderful city. I’ve written a novel called “The Decision”, a futuristic political thriller, and first of a trilogy. I’m also the author of a book on music since the 1970s called “ I Was There - A Musical Journey” and a volume of poetry about youth, “Growin’ Up - Snapshots/ Fragments”. All available on Amazon and Kindle.

  1. What a beautiful place! Toronto is looking very grey and is very cold!

London has been very grey too – and very wet. Like the rest of the country. It hasn’t been too cold this winter, but we’ve had unusually strong winds and a lot of rain. We always get excited about any extremes of weather here, and are always unprepared for it! The kind of coldness you get in USA/Canada’s central regions are unheard of (except perhaps in the Scottish Highlands). Comes from being a small island stuck on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
